The smallest and lightest triple antenna beacon on the market. The Pieps Micro Sensor is smart. Turn the switch from off to on and it does a self check and gives you a three second countdown. If you want to do a group check then it automatically starts receiving after the countdown. When you are finished, just put it in the harness (or a pocket) and the proximity sensor turns it to transmit. If you aren't doing the group check just put it away before the countdown ends and it starts transmitting. To search just pull it out of the harness and it switches from transmit to receive. Once you are ready to probe you can put it in a pocket and it will stay locked on search (push the button to unlock). If a second avalanche hits you while searching it will auto revert to send after 60 seconds of no motion. Use the button to mark/flag a signal in the event of a multiple burial. Includes harness, and bungee tether for pocket use. Measures 102 x 71 x 18 mmm. Weighs 150 g (with battery). Takes one AA battery (not included).
