Description

Available to rent is my lovely Nikon ZR (almost new and very well taken care of). Born from Nikon’s collaboration with RED Digital Cinema, it’s a genuinely exciting camera that brings professional RED colour science and RAW recording into a surprisingly compact and lightweight body, making it an ideal pick for narrative filmmaking, events, and run-and-gun shooting alike. In terms of video, it records internally in 12-bit RAW up to 6K/60p using RED’s R3D NE codec, giving you the same grading flexibility and colour pipeline you’d expect from a full RED cinema camera. It also supports ProRes RAW and N-RAW, so there’s plenty of flexibility depending on your workflow. The autofocus is excellent. Nikon’s subject-tracking system handles people, animals, and vehicles with great accuracy, which makes it just as comfortable on a fast-moving shoot as it is on a carefully planned cinematic production. Audio-wise, it features industry-first 32-bit float recording internally, meaning you essentially never have to worry about clipping. A massive win for solo shooters and small crews. And the monitor is a treat: a large 4-inch, 1,000-nit touchscreen that makes monitoring and pulling focus on a gimbal or lightweight rig genuinely enjoyable. It even supports real-time LUT previewing directly on the screen.
