I've travelled on the motorway up to right lane overtaking speeds with my road bike with deep section rims on, and stability has been perfect. I have a pair of hatch huggers too, which I use to attach the top tether points to my car, instead of the metal clamps. I still have the metal clamps, should you wish to use those instead.

Didn't end up using the bike rack as plan changed - so will give 4 stars as i cant rate the actual item. Communication was good and prompt. Would definitely hire from Dan again.
