Description

The Epiphone Sheraton, long-time favourite of John Lee Hooker, Matthew Followill, Tom Delonge, and, most famously, Noel Gallagher. This particular model made famous by The Edge playing it on the video for All Because Of You, the 2005 release from How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. A different question as to whether he played it on the studio recording, but when he crashes into the final bars, it's as-close-to-a-lead-solo-as-you'll-get-from-The-Edge. This one from the final years of production at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, where Gibson had relocated all production of Epiphones in 1970. What's most staggering about this guitar is the intricacy of the design: the old thick-style script Epiphone signature logo mother-of-pearl & Epiphone "Tree Of Life" inlay, both in mother-of-pearl, the intersected Block & Triangle mother-of-pearl and abalone fretboard inlays, the 5-layer fretboard binding, the 6-layer top body binding, even the 5-layer tortoiseshell pickguard. It's a beautiful piece of work, for what was at the time a relatively budget guitar. In near mint condition. A bright, almost Rickenbacker tone, to the guitar, and a great player. Happy to include a support pack at no extra cost, with: - Hercules Mini Stand - Strap - Clip-on Tuner - Cleaning Cloth - Complimentary Plectrums. Happy to meet personally in London to hand over. And if this isn't the one for you, check out my other guitar, amp and pedal listings!

Excellent experience! Iain even got in touch to advise me on my choice, he’s a consummate professional. Timely handover and drop off with everything you could need, and a great guitar with a lovely tone. Will definitely be recommending God’s Own Guitars!

My personal favourite of Iain’s guitars. Super easy to play, great sustain, and it looks incredible! We have rented from Iain every time we’ve needed guitars in London, and we couldn’t be happier. Both the instruments and the service are always top‑notch.
