Description

This is a Neewer X11 teleprompter / autocue. It includes an 11” screen powered by USBC and mini HDMI so that you can control the autocue from a laptop. It’s regularly used for webinars (and performs superbly for that) - as you can see, I use it to read off the screen directly into the camera for better eyeline. It includes a phone mount and USBC direct to phone for phone control. Performance is rock solid. It will come with a mounted basic webcam, which you’re welcome to use; but it has a decent pro mount for a more high-spec camera. It also includes a spindle for a tripod, and I also provide a desktop tripod for basic webinar use. If you intend to use your phone as a camera, it also comes with a phone mount which velcros to the rear. Before booking, please make sure you have USB3.0 on your laptop - it needs USB3.0 speeds (and one of the USBs on this demo laptop did not!). You’re very welcome to bring a laptop to test it when you pick up. There is a downloadable Neewer teleprompter software, but it’s terrible and I use the free QPrompt software instead. If you need the latest Neewer driver, this is available online, but any good laptop will simply recognise this unit as a second screen in your display settings. The unit performs really well for laptop work; it’s too small for more than a couple of metres away so won’t be great in a studio environment unless quite close. The reflectivity is excellent and the splitter glass is dust free and in great condition. Very happy to answer any questions within my knowledge - I can’t vouch for Mac connectivity, for example, although it’s promised! The unit is boxed and more than light enough to carry, but please keep it upright. I’m five minutes from Brockley or Crofton Park stations with ample free parking.
