Here's the official blurb: The original Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 STM (often referred to as the Mark I) is a full-frame, short-telephoto prime lens originally designed for Sony E-mount cameras. Highly regarded as an affordable, high-performing portrait lens, it gained a dedicated following for combining premium all-metal construction with solid optical rendering. Focal Length & Aperture: 85mm with a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, perfect for shallow depth of field, subject isolation, and low-light shooting. Optical Design: 10 elements in 7 groups, including one Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) element and four highly transparent glass elements to minimize chromatic aberrations. Coatings: Multi-layer HD Nano coating applied to individual elements to suppress ghosting and flare while increasing contrast. Autofocus: Powered by a quiet, smooth STM (stepping motor) that supports continuous autofocus and eye-tracking. Firmware Updates: Featured a built-in micro-USB port on the metal mount to allow for easy firmware upgrades. Build: Rugged, heavy all-metal casing.
