17 Litre Stainless Water Boiler - Tea - Mulled Wine/Cider - Not Burco LPG GAS Ideal for Tea, Mulled wine or Mulled cider, as it is not electric it does not have a thermostat. The ideal temperature for mulled wine is between 60°C and 70°C (140°F to 158°F). Why Temperature MattersProtect the Alcohol: Alcohol starts to vaporize around 78°C (172°F). Boiling the wine burns off the alcohol.Preserve Flavor: Boiling or overheating makes the wine taste bitter and overcooked.Release Aromas: Keeping the drink warm—rather than piping hot—releases the flavors of the spices and citrus without burning your tongue. Tips for HeatingLow and Slow: Heat the mixture gently on the stove over medium-low heat until it just begins to steam.No Bubbles: Never let the wine bubble or boil. As this has a Thermometer it will help you keep the drink in the safe 60°C to 70°C sweet spot. When you reach the required temperature turn down or turn of the gas, just keep an eye on the thermometer and just relight the gas to heat up. It will take approximately 45 minutes to get to the correct temperature depending on external weather temperature, the colder it is the longer it will take to heat up. Supplied with a wind guard for each Urn If you intend to use this commercially then you would probably need 2 or more depending on how many servings you would need. Constructed from stainless steel with the emphasis on safety, hence the stainless steel pillars holding the urn in place on top of the cast iron burner, it can not slip of the gas ring. There are 4 top quality rubber feet on the base of this unit so no sliding about ensuring more safety when using. Professionally made , easy to put together, no screws or bolts so very easy for cleaning, there is a 1.5 metre stainless steel braided hose, conforms with the latest gas regs, also a FFD (Flame Failure Device) is installed on the ring. Boiling Ring, Single Burner - Cast Iron with FFD Cast iron single burner boiling ring for LPG only (Propane or Butane), perfect for outdoor camping and catering use. Supplied with jets attached and features a flame failure device (FFD) that automatically shuts off the gas supply if the flame is extinguished, ensuring safe operation. If you are intending on using this urn for outside commercial catering then will need to get this safety checked by a qualified GasSafe technician. It does comply with ALL the regs for outside catering, FFD (Flame Failure Device) and steel braided hose, you can not use this urn in a trailer or a van, in a gazebo or such like no problem, if you are using it for camping you do not need a certificate before use, just periodically check the connections for leaks, soapy water is the best, if it bubbles don't use it.
