Aputure Storm 1200x hire in London - a 1,200W bi-colour point-source LED supplied with the CF12 Fresnel and the steel skid, ready to work as a hard key, a bounce source or a window blast. THE FIXTURE 1,200W output from a five-colour BLAIR engine (blue, lime, amber, indigo, red), tunable 2,500K to 10,000K with full green/magenta correction across the ASC MITC range. CRI 95+ at 3,000K and TLCI 95+ at 3,200K, so it cuts cleanly with tungsten, daylight and whatever else is already on the floor. Open face with the supplied 45-degree reflector it delivers 15,300 to 22,500 lux at 3 metres and 5,420 to 7,130 lux at 5 metres, depending on colour temperature. Native beam angle is 67 degrees. CF12 FRESNEL - INCLUDED A 12-inch Bowens-mount Fresnel focusing from a 15-degree spot to a 45-degree flood, multiplying output up to 9.9x - 84,400 lux at 1 metre at 5,600K, full power. The dual-expanding barrel extends at both ends rather than just the front, so you get real Fresnel throw and a smooth centre-to-edge falloff from a much shorter housing than a conventional 12-inch head. SKID - INCLUDED Stainless-steel base that bolts underneath so the fixture sits flat on the floor without tipping, even with the Fresnel mounted. The rear cutout clears the head cable as you tilt. Floor-level uplight and low keys go up in seconds. WHEN TO TAKE IT When a 600W head runs out: punching daylight through a window from outside, lighting a large interior, or holding a hard key at distance. Spotted down to 15 degrees the Fresnel concentrates the beam for throw; flooded to 45 it becomes a big soft source into a bounce or through diffusion. PRACTICAL Two-piece: 9.5kg lamp head with yoke, 5.9kg control box. IP65 rated for dust and rain. Draws 1,550W maximum from ordinary 100-240V mains, so a single fixture runs from a normal 13A socket - no ballast, no distro, no generator. Control over Sidus Link Bluetooth, CRMX, DMX/RDM, sACN and Art-Net at up to 100m.
