Description
Blue Akai MPC2000XL standalone sampler and sequencer with the rare EB16 effects board, eight-output expansion and card reader. This is the classic hardware MPC workflow with 16 velocity-sensitive pads, 16-bit sampling and a 64-track sequencer. It works completely independently without a computer, although it can also control or be synchronised with other equipment over MIDI. The fitted EB16 board adds two multi-effects processors and two separate reverb paths. Its effects include distortion, filtering, chorus, flanging, phasing, pitch shifting, delay and reverb, all available inside the MPC without needing external effects equipment. The eight-output expansion allows individual drums and samples to be sent to separate channels of a mixer, audio interface or outboard equipment. It also adds digital S/PDIF input and output. This is particularly useful for recording each MPC sound separately or mixing through an analogue desk. The card reader makes loading and saving samples, programs and sequences much easier than using the original floppy-drive system.
