Description
Glorious 60s signature for one of the guitar greats, Barney Kessel, the man behind a staggering catalogue of personal, session and credited recordings with so many of the jazz and mainstream giants. And nowadays, a vintage favourite of guitarists as varied as Tony Iommi, Nile Rodgers, Josh Homme and Pat Smear. If you haven't heard of Barney Kessel, I'll bet you've heard more than one song he's played on. He was everywhere! This vintage Barney Kessel Regular is in beautiful condition for its age, Glorious cherry sunburst, Gibson PATENT NO Humbuckers, rosewood fretboard with classic split parallelogram inlays. Just beautiful. I'm no jazz player, but pick this up, and play unplugged, and you can hear the warmth and resonance coming through. Plug it in, and you'll get double the warmth from the neck pick-up, and all the bite you could wish for from the bridge. Lovely low set-up and strung with flatwounds, for that smoother tone and feel. A very special guitar for all types of player - you don't have to be a super-talented jazz maestro! Happy to include a support pack at no extra cost, with: - Hercules Mini Stand - Strap - Clip-on Tuner - Cleaning Cloth - Complimentary Plectrums. Happy to meet personally in London to hand over. And if this isn't the one for you, check out my other guitar, amp and pedal listings!
