Description
The ES-335, a classic icon, seen in the hands of so many of the guitar greats ever since it was first introduced in 1958. This cherry beauty from 1988 takes you right back to the same design as the original dot inlay ES-335s, before the block inlay version came in in 1962. It's hard to capture in photos the way the cherry finish has aged to a glorious burgundy, or the binding has yellowed to evoke a lifetime played in smoke-filled clubs. Lovely vintage features recreated from the 1960 template. One piece mahogany neck and vintage profile, shaped to sit perfectly in your palm. "Mickey Mouse" ear cutaways. The return to nickel hardware, with that benefit of taking on a lovely grey patina over time. The small F-holes which featured on every 335 through to the mid-60s. And it sounds just fantastic. From dark warmth at the neck pick-up to cutting treble at the bridge. All perfectly set up and ready to play. A few dents and knocks from its near 40-year lifetime, but plays and sounds great. Happy to include a support pack at no extra cost, with: - Hercules Mini Stand - Strap - Clip-on Tuner - Cleaning Cloth - Complimentary Plectrums. Happy to meet personally in London to hand over. And if this isn't the one for you, check out my other guitar, amp and pedal listings!
