Kitesurf board - 2012 Airush Protoy 135cmx41cm Don't use my kitesurfing equipment as much due to work commitments :/. Renting so it gets a bit more use. Decent freestyle board with a fair bit of pop. The Airush Protoy is suited to the rider looking for refined freestyle performance with riding comfort normally only found in a freeride board. The secret lies in the unique double concave bottom combined with a new generation 3-stage rocker and 3-stage outline, making the Protoy work perfectly in just about any conditions. The shape also performs in conjunction with the high level of dampening and response found in the multi-zone core combined with custom X carbon bracing. Tech Features ABS Rails Square ABS rail for durability and a fast clean water release. ABS rails are based on Snowboard construction and provides an extremely durable rail ideal for aggressive freestyle riding and all round abuse. Rocker 3 stage “competition” rocker for speed and early planing. Softens the ride in choppy conditions, increases the directional stability at speed and enchances edging and low wind performance. Overall Planform A relatively parallel outline with intermediate width tips offers a good combination of edging, stability at speed and pop. Fins The Transit fin Series offer increased grip, with reduced drag through the refined foils shape and reduced chord. They also provide stability. Multizone Biotech Construction The Airush Multizone Biotech construction is a spin off from snowboard technology where a vertical wood core sandwich is combined with a stepped construction and an ABS rail. Wood cores have long been renowned for their feel and smoothness, we combined this with a triaxial construction ensuring awesome flex, response and durability. Topsheet top and bottom. Too much board flex is not always a good thing. Riders who are heavier, more advanced or ride more overpowered would generally prefer a slightly stiffer board. Riders who are less advanced, lighter or prefer to ride with slightly less power, would normally prefer a slightly more flexible board. Boards that are wider may require a more flexible construction to achieve a similar feel to narrow board. All these factors are taken into account when generating the perfect dynamic flex.
