Description
The 400mm Leica Telyt-R f/6.8. It was designed in 1968 as a handheld "snap-shot" lens for the Leicaflex and the Leica R cameras. This very extraordinary lens was produced till 1994 when production ceased. As an R lens, you need an R adaptor to use it on anything else. The lens is lightweight for a 400mm at 1.8Kg and you can shoot it all day without a tripod. It works especially well on "bright days" when you can use it with a 400/800 asa film at 1/500 speeds. I love the photos that come out of it. They have a special character not found in Nikon lenses I've used.
