The Manfrotto 055XDB is a solid mid-sized professional aluminium tripod with legs that adjust all the way out to horizontal. It is perfect to use as a support for a spotting scope as it has none of the unnecessary complexity and weight that goes with an XPRO type tripod. The legs extend and lock using locking knobs rather than tabs, making them more robust and easier to use when wearing gloves.
