Description

Neuman, the designer behind some of the worlds best microphones, brought out the KMS105 in 1999 as a vocal microphone for the stage. A tight polar pattern and some cleverness or quirk in the design make it weirdly good at resisting feedback for a condenser. This seems to be a pretty early model- and it's got a darkness to it also uncharacteristic of condenser mics- which I love. There is a smoothness across the whole spectrum even well into the highs. It does however retain its condenser sensitivity which makes it great for picking out all the detail in a subtle vocal performance, guitar part or a string line; and adding a ton of character to it.
