Made in 1954, this super fast rare f0.95 Paris Angenieux 25mm (16mm) c-mount vintage lens was used on NASA's 1964 Ranger 7 probe to take the first close up pictures of the moon. None of the actual lenses used on the probe survived as the probe was designed to crash on the lunar surface, but this is the same model used on that probe. LOOK: Lens produces a lovely vintage image, which can be manipulated in post to look however you wish (if shot in correct formats). Focus fall-off is natural and pleasing. Skin tone is how you expect a vintage lens to look. I have used this on music videos, documentaries and short films with beautiful results. CONDITION: The lens works perfectly. Focus and aperture wheel work. There are scratches and slight fungus on the elements but this is not photographed - nothing unexpected for its age. I have used this on documentaries and short films with no problem. PLEASE NOTE: The lens is designed for 16mm cameras. I have only used this on a BMPCC 4k, this is what I have found: BE AWARE - There is slight vignetting when shooting 4k. With a little crop in post this can be fixed. When shooting full HD or 2k there is no vignetting. BE AWARE - Focusing is difficult. Follow focus is near impossible. The nature of c-mount means a high torque on powered focus motors can unscrew the lens as there is no locking mechanism. WHAT YOU GET: 1x P. Angenieux 25mm f0.95 lens 1x Back element lens cap 1x C-mount to M4/3 adapter *If you require a different lens adapter (anything but for PL mount), please get in touch and I will arrange for no extra cost* Any questions, please get in touch either via Fat Llama.
