This 300mm has an impressive T2.9 aperture, for great focus plane separation or low-light shooting. It's a well know 'secret' in the industry that RED primes were mostly Olympus still lenses rehoused by a famous British lens manufacturer, and you can definitely feel the quality of both the housing and the glass when using this beautiful telephoto. The lens comes in a Pelicase with form-fitted foam.
