Very compact and light 500mm mirror lens f/8.0 with Nikon mount - this is a manual focus, fixed aperture lens (the aperture is fixed at f/8.0). The included 2x teleconverter available will double the focal lens to a huge 1000mm - this allows you to shoot very far. Perfect for sports or wildlife photography, lightweight and extraordinarily compact for a 500mm focal length. It focuses as close as 5.6' (1.7m). This lens is constructed from fully multi-coated low-dispersion optical glass with a 72mm front filter thread, and a 30.5mm rear filter thread. When properly focused, using an adequately fast shutter speed and/or tripod, this lens is very sharp. The images from a mirror lens have a soft quality even though they are tack sharp, which can be deceiving at first. However, they are void of chromatic aberration, making them very clear. Included: - Lens in a faux leather bag, with caps - 2x converter in its own box (if you want to use it you need to unscrew the T2 mount and attach the converter between the lens and the mount). - Set of filters: a 2x neutral density filter, 4x neutral density filter and a skylight filter (all 30.5mm) - T-ring adapter (Nikon mount) to mount this lens to a camera body.
