Description
Laowa Proteus 2X 60mm T2 anamorphic lens hire in London — PL mount with an interchangeable EF bayonet included, available in central London. The 60mm is the coverage lens. In a 2X set it's what you turn to for singles and close-ups: tight enough to isolate a face, but because the squeeze doubles the horizontal field you still hold a wide 2.39:1 frame rather than a cramped one. That combination is the whole reason people shoot anamorphic. Wide open at T2 the depth of field falls away fast and the bokeh goes properly oval. Put a practical in shot and you get the horizontal blue flare running across the frame. SPECS Focal length: 60mm Aperture: T2 to T22 Squeeze: true 2X, giving a 2.39:1 frame Iris: 10 blades Coverage: Super 35 Front filter thread: 105mm Focus and iris gears: 0.8 mod, for follow focus and motors Focus scale: marked in feet Length: around 198mm Weight: around 2.3kg Mount: PL, interchangeable to EF WHAT'S INCLUDED The lens with front and rear caps and its case, plus the interchangeable EF bayonet. Lens hoods aren't included as standard — most shoots don't use them and they're the item most often lost. Ask when you book and I'll add one at no charge. WHAT PEOPLE HIRE IT FOR Close-ups and singles on narrative work. Music videos. Fashion and beauty. Commercials. Interviews that want a cinema frame rather than a corporate one. Any London shoot cutting anamorphic coverage where a 35mm is handling the masters. PAIR IT I list the Proteus 2X 35mm separately, and the 35 plus 60 together as a set, which comes in cheaper than hiring the two individually. PACKING Every anamorphic lens hire in London goes out in a hard case or padded bag. If you need it packed a particular way, say so when you book. Insured via the Hygglo guarantee.
