Communication with Nikita was excellent throughout, both before the trip and in arranging collection. The collection itself is a different story. The entrance to the site is too narrow for anything but the smallest cars. A pillar sits in the middle of the gateway. We scraped the rear quarter of our car just getting through it. The road outside has a double red line, so there’s nowhere to stop and line up the approach first. The gate opens on a PIN code, but it starts closing again before you can get the car through, so you’re rushing the tightest part of the manoeuvre under time pressure. Once inside, the ceiling is low enough that a taller car would risk hitting it with a roof box fitted. Loading the box itself takes two people, not one. None of this was flagged before collection. Nikita’s communication was good throughout, but the site isn’t fit for self-service in its current state. It needs a wider entrance, a longer gate cycle, or someone on hand to help load.

I am truly sorry that it turned out the way it did for Ian. However, the description of the entrance as being "too narrow for anything but the smallest cars" is not quite accurate. None of the previous renters have expressed concerns about height or width of the car park. I had offered Ian to come by earlier to check over and also noted: 'Installation of the box is tool free but might be a two man job. I'm 6'3 so have no issues'. I am usually present at the location for the handover when not away on holidays. Ian has since successfully returned the box on his own, despite my offer to be present to assist with the return. I have agreed with Ian to pass on the entrance conditions to future renters.
