Description
This road & light gravel bike is a very smooth and reliable ride. The Kinesis R1 is an all-weather, four-seasons road bike with slightly thicker tyres designed for long-distance riding, commuting, touring and bikepacking. It's fully tuned and equipped with heavy-duty bike rack for panniers. The frame size works for people between 1.69m (5'7) - 1.80m (5'11) Here are all the specs: Frame: Size 57, 6069 Aluminium. Fork: Carbon Monocoque fork with internal break cables. Gears: 11 (due to single chain ring) Handlebar: Size 44 Brakes: Flat Mount Disc Brake Drivetrain: 1x11, Wide-Range Speed Drive set: SRAM Apex 1 Rear Derailleur: SRAM 1x Long Cage Rear Derailleur. Shifters: SRAM Drop Bar Integrated Shifter Pedals: MKS XC-III / Bear Trap style flat pedals. Rims: Alexrims Draw 1.9 (700c Disc-specific alloy rims). Tyres: Continental Grand Prix 5000 (700c road tyres). Mudguards: with extended rubber mudflaps. Rack: Heavy-duty black alloy pannier rack with red retention bungee straps. Tara S borrowed Road Bike - Specialized (Roubaix SL4)
The bike is was hired for the Dunwich Dynamo. Unfortunately, due to a delayed coach and then having to travel across London from Surrey Quays, I returned it at 6pm instead of the agreed 5pm. I kept the owner updated throughout and did my best to get back as quickly as possible after completing an overnight ride with no sleep. I appreciate that the delay would have disrupted her plans and I apologise for the inconvenience. However, I felt her reaction was unnecessarily hostile and made me feel as though I had deliberately treated her disrespectfully, despite the delay being outside my control and me communicating throughout. The bike was a little muddy, but this was a foreseeable consequence of using it for the event I was doing. The bike itself was suitable for the trip and I’m very grateful to the owner for lending me it but unfortunately the handover experience was disappointing. I also still have her bottle, which I will post to her for when she is back from annual leave.

Dorte was extremely nice ane helpful, the bike was in a great condition and perfect for a couple of days of riding. I had no troubles in picking, dropping or riding:)
