Description

Sony FX3 body hire in London (ILME-FX3) — full-frame cinema camera, body only, available in central London. The FX3 is a cinema camera in a mirrorless body. Same 12.1MP full-frame sensor as the A7S III, so the same extraordinary low-light performance, but with an active cooling fan so long takes don't end in a thermal warning, threaded mounting points across the body so it rigs without a cage, and an XLR handle for proper audio. That is the honest reason to take an FX3 over an A7S III. Same picture, but it doesn't stop, and it accepts a real sound setup. MULTI-CAMERA I keep several FX3 bodies, so two- or three-camera bookings are usually possible and every body matches — same sensor, same profiles, no grading around a mismatched angle. WHAT'S INCLUDED FX3 body with XLR handle, CFexpress Type A card and reader, spare battery and charger. Supplied in a hard case or padded bag. SPECS Sensor: 12.1MP full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R Recording: 4K up to 120p, 10-bit 4:2:2 Dynamic range: 15+ stops Profiles: S-Cinetone and S-Log3 Base ISO: dual, 800 and 12,800 Cooling: active fan, no recording limit Stabilisation: in-body, Active mode Audio: XLR handle with two inputs Cards: dual CFexpress Type A and SD Mount: Sony E Rigging: 1/4-20 threads across the body WHAT PEOPLE HIRE IT FOR Documentary and factual. Corporate and brand films. Interviews and events that run long. Music videos and night shoots. Weddings. Second unit alongside a Venice or an Alexa. Any London job where the camera has to keep rolling and the light is going. GLASS AND KITS Body only, so bring your own E-mount lenses or hire mine. I list the FX3 paired with the 16-35mm f/2.8, the 24-70mm f/2.8, an Atomos Ninja Ultra, a DJI RS4 Pro, and with a choice of one, two or three Cooke SP3 primes if you want cine glass on it. PACKING It goes out in a hard case or padded bag, like every cinema camera hire in London I do, with the best packing available on request.
