The new Boardman SLR 8.8 Road Bike uses a triple butted 6061 aluminium frame which has evolved from the first generation SLR 8.8. This redesigned hidden-weld frame can now accommodate 28mm tyres as well as a mudguard or 30mm tyres for more comfort on a summers ride. A redesigned rear triangle offers not only a weight saving over the previous generation SLR 8.8 but also improves comfort and a tapered full-carbon fork offers precise handling and vibration reduction. Tektro flat-mount disc brakes give powerful stopping power in all conditions whilst upgraded Shimano Tiagra gearing offers more gears with a wider(11-32T) range than the 8.8’s predecessor. 28mm Vittoria Rubino Graphene 2.0 Tyres give fantastic grip whilst retaining great speed and a puncture-resistant belt inside the tyre will ensure plenty of worry-free miles.
