How cool doe this look? Released in 1995, it was one of the first Mini DV camcorders. This camcorder is so rad, made famous by the skateboarding community. For the enthusiast amongst us, it’s the holy grail (well, one of them)! Its image has a distinct look, with a particular clarity and tone. The grain is perfect. The VX1000 has plenty of image control features. We also love the late 80s long body camcorder shape, which from 1995 was only retained in the prosumer cameras. Shoot a music video, a wedding, or your friends trying to skateboard. This camera is semi-pro, which means it has lots of manual controls compared to your home video Handycam. Camco are the ones to go to for vintage cameras still in good use. Camera has a unique lens swap, a dramatic texture you can't easily mock-up. The audio was actually way better than I thought it would be. Pickup and drop-off were great, good communication and flexible for timings. All round great renter. Will be exploring their catalogue and looking for excuses to rent again in future.
