Description

The Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II Lens is the latest large-aperture telephoto zoom G Master Lens from Sony upgraded from the previous model. With an advanced optical design, the unit affords phenomenal high resolution, along with smooth background defocus effects. The newly developed aperture drive unit provides fast yet quiet operation and is combined with an aperture ring that has switchable on/off clicks and an iris lock, which makes it well suited for use in video applications. The lens features four Extreme Dynamic Linear Motors, reduces focus breathing and focus shift while zooming and makes dedicated autofocus. The floating focus design divides the elements into two independently controlled groups for increased responsiveness, for both still and video applications, with speeds up to four times faster than its predecessor.
