Description
Just like the one you see Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong playing, a vintage classic. The Junior was first introduced in 1956, as a stripped-down version of the Les Paul Standard. Originally targeted at the entry-level/student market, now one of the finest examples of Gibson quality from the 1950s. No binding, no ornate inlays, uncarved single-piece mahogany body, one pick-up, one volume knob, one tone knob, classic two-tone sunburst. There's a benefit to simplicity. You don't have to spend time switching between pick-ups, fiddling around with controls. Just tune up, plug in, crank up, and play. And it plays and sounds fantastic. The P-90 absolutely sings, with no loss of output over all these years. Not a reissue! This is a genuine Gibson Les Paul Junior made in 1956. Which helps explain the hire price.
