Description
Lovely vintage Gibson J-45 from 1965. The workhorse of the Gibson Jumbo guitars for over 80 years. Loved by guitarists across pretty much every musical style for its big warm strummed sound and easy-play picking. As you'd expect from a guitar that's been around since the mid-60s, this one has its fair share of dents and nicks - but no cracks or structural issues. The gradual fade to the cherry sunburst is more than compensated for by the beautiful lacquer checking to the body top. And it sounds gorgeous. Great low action and lovely big fat tone across the strings, with plenty of cut at the top end. A great vintage acoustic! Fantastic experience from start to finish. Iain was incredibly helpful, polite and enthusiastic, and even provided an extra bag of useful tools, including a clip-on tuner. The 1972 Fender Precision Bass and amp were in pristine condition, sounded incredible and genuinely elevated our rehearsal session. Excellent service all round – I’ll absolutely be hiring from Iain again.
