Utterly iconic all-black Fender Stratocaster from the 70s. The classic combination of large headstock, rhomboid tuners, bullet trussrod, maple fretboard, Fender fixed pole pick-ups and Fender tremolo system, and that iconic black finish and pickguard. Not the only famous player, but one of The Edge's go-to models in the late 70s and 80s. Huge sustain with that bigger headstock and weighty body. Plenty of wear - the sort of ageing that people will pay good money for to get their relic nowadays. But why go for the relic, when you can play the real thing? Fantastic experience from start to finish. Iain was incredibly helpful, polite and enthusiastic, and even provided an extra bag of useful tools, including a clip-on tuner. The 1972 Fender Precision Bass and amp were in pristine condition, sounded incredible and genuinely elevated our rehearsal session. Excellent service all round – I’ll absolutely be hiring from Iain again.
