This RODE VideoMic is a directional Condenser Microphone that connects to the camera-shoe mount. If you want to use it on a tripod (instead of camera), you do so with the included adapter that attaches to the tripod (see photo). The RODE VideoMic is a professional grade shotgun microphone, designed specifically for use with high quality Digital Video Cameras. It uses 3.5mm plug to connect to the camera and is powered by 9V battery. The microphone has broadcast sound quality. low noise and integrated shockmount to attach it to camera.
