Description
Les Paul. Goldtop. Mahogany. Ceramic humbuckers. All the hallmarks and tone of one of Gibson's most iconic guitars. The Gibson Les Paul Classic, launched in 1990, was a reissue based on the 1960 Les Paul - recreating the slim neck profile, narrow headstock, thin cutaway binding, aged yellowish fingerboard inlays, inked-on serial number, nickel hardware, vintage-style logo and aged binding on the body & neck. This one, from 1996, is a massive-sounding guitar that's almost impossible to put down once you plug it in. Loaded with some absolutely massive Seymour Duncan SH-55 pickups, this guitar has a huge range of tones from warm and bluesy to searing rock. Every time I pick it up and play, I play better (I'm sure that's true!). A few distinguishing marks that come with its age, but professionally set up and in perfect playing condition. Immensely satisfied with my rental of the Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. This guitar was in amazing condition and sounded incredible. The pick-up and delivery of the equipment was smooth sailing as Iain was very easy to contact and even kept an eye on our tour around Europe. I can't wait to play this again in the future when I'm touring the UK.
