Description
1974 Gibson Ripper LS-9 Bass, as made famous by Krist Novoselic in Nirvana (he liked them so much, he had four of them!). Really versatile guitar, adapting easily to many styles, with everything from deep warm bass to clicky treble. Loaded with Gibson's Q-system, basically preset EQ options and mid- and treble roll-off pots instead of standard tone pots, which unlocks a wide range of tones. Lovely sound. Maple neck and fretboard, with an alder body. Plays beautifully with that long-scale 34.5" neck. It's seen a life on the road, and bears testament with the nicks and chips you'd expect. But in terms of hardware, fretboard, frets, and electrics, it's in superb condition.
