We rented a Rode Wireless Microphone from Morpheus Rentals for a wedding we filmed in Cambridge yesterday, and the experience was outstanding. Our enquiry was made very last-minute, we were already on the way to the wedding the day before when we realised we had forgotten our backup microphone. While we could have managed with our main setup, having a backup is very important to us, especially for critical moments like the ceremony, so we decided to reach out and see if anything could be arranged on short notice. To our surprise, we received a reply very quickly, and the team was incredibly supportive. They confirmed they could deliver the microphone the next day, on the actual wedding day, which already exceeded our expectations. Since the ceremony was at 2pm (with the bridal entrance at 1:45pm), we asked if it would be possible to receive the equipment earlier so we could set everything up in time. Although the original delivery window was around 1:30 - 1:45pm, they made an extra effort to prioritise our situation and ensured the microphone arrived right at 1:30pm. This made a huge difference for us, allowing enough time to set up properly and have dual audio coverage during the ceremony, which is essential for our work. We are extremely grateful for their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile. Communication was clear throughout, and the service was truly reliable. Highly recommended, a solid 5-star experience.

DO NOT BOTHER HIRING FROM THIS PERSON. Having read their other reviews, I explicitly asked if the item I wanted was collection, to which they said yes. They then asked me to complete a delivery form, which I thought was strange. I tried to claim a refund as I wasn’t confident they would deliver and they claimed the item was already on its way. They then claimed I’d received a text from DPD Local (I didn’t). By the time I got on top of everything, the post office had closed. When I confronted him about delivering it to the post office, which I didn’t want, he claimed it was “collection from post office”, which he had never stated at any point in the booking process. I was never able to collect the item from the post office, and therefore couldn’t use it on the shoot. Total waste of time. If he claims an item is available for collection, he is LYING. STAY AWAY!
As outlined on our profile, we offer collection from designated collection points rather than in-person handovers. We ask for a delivery address so we can find the most convenient collection point for you. You were notified at 2:00pm that the equipment was ready for collection, and DPD also sent a collection notification. Unfortunately, we didn’t hear back until after the shop had closed. Cancelled last minute due to sending equipment via DPD. Unfortunate as the renter is located 5 mins from my flat but chose to send equipment via a delivery system that took it all the way to Birmingham. Super frustrating. 24 hours before shoot.
Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand how frustrating this situation was, especially so close to your shoot, and we’re genuinely sorry for the inconvenience caused. We dispatched the equipment earlier than required to allow for a potential 1–2 day courier delay, which is something we plan for as a precaution. Unfortunately, on this occasion the delivery was delayed by 5 days, which was entirely unexpected and highly unusual. We generally have a near 100% success rate with our courier deliveries and rarely experience delays of this length. As outlined in our booking terms, we do not offer in-person collection; delivery is the only available option. While this has proven reliable in the vast majority of cases, this instance was an unfortunate exception beyond our control. We truly regret that this affected your shoot and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
