Description
For insulation in cold weather hiking trips and/or you are a thru-hiker looking to cut weight anywhere you can. Mountain Side features a roll-up pad, the Mt. Hood from Equinox, and a foldable egg-carton style from Alps Mountaineering. Nothing is more effective at keeping the cold from creeping in from the ground than a foam sleeping pad. Very durable and water resistant, they can be packed on the outside of your backpack. This is key when cutting ounces (and grams, you gram geeks) for thru-hiking that bucket-list trail of yours. Cross-linked closed cell foam offers good insulating and water repellent properties. Folds or rolls easily for compact storage.
